Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 3-0 at Fenway Park to set the mark, which began on May 15, 2003. It surpasses the previous record of 455 games set by the Cleveland Indians from 1995 to 2001. The Red Sox streak ends at 794 games, when the Red Sox lose to the Boston Orioles 8-5 on April 10, 2013. The record in all professional sports was set by the NBA’s Portland Trailblazers from 1977 to 1995,
